Elisha Yanay, Chairman of the Board of Directors
Mr. Yanay is an electronics and communications specialist with vast experience in radio, mobile and commercial wireless systems. He has served as the Chairman and CEO of Motorola Israel and as a corporate vice president of Motorola Inc.
Zion Hadad, Founder
In 1997 Dr. Hadad founded Runcom Technologies Ltd. in Israel. Dr. Hadad possesses an extensive experience in the development of military and commercial communication systems with specialized expertise in the fields of Spread Spectrum (SS), Frequency Hopping (FH), Direct Sequence (DS), CDMA, OFDMA, ECC and Adaptive Array Technologies.
Prior to the inception of Runcom, Dr. Hadad served as VP and GM for Broadband Wireless Access [BWA] and Chief Scientist of InnoWave, a wireless local loop company, purchased by Alvarion in 2001. Prior to his engagement with InnoWave, Dr. Hadad served as the Chief Scientist of the Tactical Comm. Division of Tadiran Communications. In addition, for a period of 5 years Dr. Hadad was involved in the development of military radio for the US Army soldier SINCGARS with General Dynamics USA, and with the development of the commercial Broadband CDMA in InterDigital USA [IDCC], which variant was later developed into the 3GPP third generation cellular technology [3G].
During 1997 Dr. Hadad invent and initiated development of the OFDMA technology for Runcom, and he currently holds a few registered patents in connection with such technology. As the CEO and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Runcom, Dr. Hadad incorporated the OFDMA technology as base line for broadcast return channel and the 4G cellular technologies: ETSI DVB RCT, IEEE 802.16d,e and after that a variant of this adapted by 3GPP LTE for the fourth generation cellular [4G].
Dr. Hadad holds a PhD in Electrical Engineering (EE) from CUNY (USA).
Moshe Levinson, CEO
Moshe Levinson has twenty years of experience managing technology companies, focused on development of electronic components, ICs (VLSI) and wireless communication systems. Mohse joined Runcom in 2001 as Deputy CEO. During his tenure, he dealt with diverse areas of activities, such as licensing transaction, financing, projects management and operations management. On January 2011, Moshe was appointed Runcom's CEO and he is also a director of the company. Previously Moshe also served as a strategic business consultant to investment companies in the U.S. and Israel and he is an acting Chairman in a company that was engaged as MVNO and MVNE in USA.
Israel Koffman, VP Sales & Marketing& Director
Mr. Koffman has more than 20 years of managerial experience in leading positions in the high-tech industry. Prior to Runcom Mr. Koffman was the Chief Technology Officer of Gilat Communications Ltd. Prior to Gilat, Mr. Koffman spent 18 years at Orbit-Alchut technologies Ltd., rising from R&D engineer and various senior positions in R&D and marketing to become the President of Orbit Communication, Ltd., a subsidiary of Orbit Alchut. Mr. Koffman was one of the founders and the active Chairman of the ISIS Consortium for the development of advanced satellite communication terminals. He holds an MSc. Degree in Electrical Engineering (EE) from Drexel University in Philadelphia.
Eli Sofer, VP Business Development
Over the last 25 years Eli Sofer has held key management positions in technology areas focused on multi-disciplinary programs- Tactical Digital Communication systems, Spread Spectrum Data Links for military applications and CNI systems. Eli has initiated and chaired Israel 4G Mobile consortium encompassing leading industrial partners and academic research centers in Israel. Eli served as a technical auditor to ACTS projects of the European Commission under domain 5, and till end of 1998 was a manager of NMS consortium operating within the framework of the Israeli “MAGNET” program. During 1989-95- as the head of the civilian activity of the System Division in Tadiran, Eli spearheaded Tadiran efforts in the conversion of the military technologies and know-how, gained in defense programs, into civilian applications.
During 1982-89, Eli served as the R&D Manager of Tadiran Communication Group. Within this capacity, he initiated and led a team of scientists and experts in diversified disciplines to coordinate R&D activities and the setup of new business areas in the field of Data Links for airborne and missiles systems and satellite communication. Eli holds MSc in Electrical Engineering from the Technion, Haifa.
