Runcom outdoor CPE is a customer premises equipment for outdoor deployment. It is designed for rapid and simple external deployment, to be fitted by trained personnel in relatively short period for saving OPEX. The operator would deploy the Runcom outdoor CPE when a specific service level needs to be guaranteed to the end customer. The Runcom outdoor CPE ensures high service availability at enhanced ranges, operating in both LOS and NLOS propagation environments.

Runcom outdoor CPE is a standalone WiMAX CPE device, outdoor CPE integrates all required WiMAX digital and radio components within a single unit, enabling operators to quickly and effortlessly deploy IP-based broadband wireless data, voice and video services. Its smart, self-learning network entry procedure automatically detects base stations with the best available signal strength, allowing for true plug-and-play installation and maintenance-free operation.

The Runcom outdoor CPE unit is interoperable with most currently available WiMAX base stations in the market. It enables highly efficient wireless spectrum utilization, supporting a broad range of user environments, and features access and bandwidth allocation mechanisms designed to accommodate hundreds of subscriber units per sector.

Runcom outdoor CPE serves as an outdoor access unit and is comprised of an outdoor radio unit and an indoor network interface unit. The outdoor part contains a modem, radio and integral high-gain flat antenna. Indoor unit is connected directly to the outdoor unit via a category 5 Ethernet cable using standard PoE interface that carries the data traffic and power.

Runcom outdoor CPE is also available in multiple network configurations, and optimally serves a wide range of market segments and applications. It is especially suited for corporate, urban and rural installations.
