Overview

Runcom develops, manufactures and markets a broad spectrum of operator-grade equipment and systems that power 4G wireless communications networks across the globe. The recognized pioneer in the development of Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiple Access (OFDMA) technology, a breakthrough in enabling the proliferation of broadband wireless access communications, the Company was founded in 1997 by Dr. Zion Hadad, who invented the technology. Headquartered in Rishon Le Zion, Israel, Runcom owns a substantial intellectual property and product portfolio and employs some of the world’s foremost experts in broadband wireless technology.

Since its introduction, Runcom’s OFDMA technology has been a major catalyst in facilitating the development and widespread acceptance of several key industry protocols. The Company’s leadership in fostering standardization development in the wireless communications arena crosses several key junctions, including the DVB-T/RCT standard for Digital Interactive TV in Europe; the IEEE 802.16 a/e/d standards in the US, enabling broadband wireless access; and the new broadband mobile cellular 4G LTE standard wordwide.
