RNA300 ASIC

IEEE802.16e Rev 2
PHY/MAC SoC

The RNA300 provides high-performance WiMAX Wave 2 and IEE802.16e and Rev2 compliant OFDMA® System on Chip (SoC) for Mobile Subscriber Stations (MSS).

The RNA300 is a highly integrated SoC that provides an optimal solution for OFDMA® MobileSubscriber Systems(MSSs). The RNA300 is self contained and only requires a handful of external components to create a wireless Mobile WiMAX MSS solution with low power consumption.

The RNA300 utilizes state of the art SoC technology. It contains analog and digital mixed signal cores and an embedded ARM11 CPU.

RNA300 is the first to implement closed-loop MIMO (Matrix 4x2). It contains improved algorithms providing a very high
sensitivity and high throughput (50Mbps). In addition, advanced features, such as: MIMO Matrix A/B, collaborative
MIMO, beam-forming, and HARQ Cat 4 are supported.

Additional proprietary capabilities beyond WiMAX to be provided under NDA.

The RNA300 interfaces seamlessly with a variety of RFIC solutions (with either analog or digital interfaces) that cover
licensed and unlicensed spectral bandwidth, as well as with various host CPU types and operating systems.
Runcom provides comprehensive support for the RNA300 MSS by means of complete reference designs, such as the RNE300 (MSS reference design card).
“OFDMA®” is a Registered Trademark of Runcom Technologies, Ltd.
