RNE200CF - Compact Flash Card
Overview
Runcom's RNE200CF is a Compact Flash card reference design, which is based on Runcom's RNA200 SoC. The RNE200CF uses Compact-Flash interface to enable Runcom's customers to create IEEE802.16e solutions based on WiMAX/WiBro profiles and beyond.
The CF can be used as a modular solution for PDAs, Internet tablets and surveillance cameras, or with an adapter as a PCMCIA card for laptops. Additionally, the RNE200CF can be used as a modem reference design to an on-board host processor in a handheld device or a fixed CPE/RG.
Each of Runcom's reference designs provides everything you need to develop a commercial product, including: manufacturing files, device drivers and full WiMAX software. These reference designd have been implemented and manufactured by various Original Design Manufacturers (ODMs) worldwide and work seamlessly with leading ecosystem partners. Additional enablers are automatic calibration tool, monitoring software package and Runcom base-station unit that can be used as a tester (RNU2000N).
Applications, Usage and Benefits
The RNE200CF enables ODM's and service providers the following benefits:
- Seamless evaluation of Runcoms chipset in an IEEE802.16-2005 environment
- Fast time-to-market and shorter development cycles for ODM's by copying the mass production ready reference design's manufacturing files
- Faster rollout with certified ready and IOT confirmed with Tier-1 base-station vendors
