Runcom & IXI reveal new WiMAX GSM handset

(Barcelona, Spain, February 16^th, 2010) – Runcom Technologies, Ltd (“Runcom”) and IXI Mobile Inc. (“IXI”, OTC.PK: IXMO) unveil today at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona its first Dual Mode Low Cost (ULC) GSM- WiMAX handset. The handset is powered by Runcom's leading OFDMA technology which is developed for WiMAX & LTE. The handset integrates GSM and WiMAX chipset, capable of voice calls, VOIP calls, and high speed data connection up to 10Mbps on 2.3GHz or 2.5GHz WiMAX spectrum. According to WiMAX Forum It is expected that WiMAX coverage will reach 100 million users by 2010 and Runcom and IXI intend to supply the demand for dual mode handsets.
